Writing a Review: Louis Tomlinson- Faith in the Future World Tour

On May 24th of this year, one of the most popular artist of this decade performed in Santiago, Chile. The ex-boyband member Louis Tomlinson brought his world tour, “Faith in the Future,” to Estadio Bicentenario. His two hour long concert, plus his two headliners brought warmth and euphoria to a freezing Friday night of May.

The countdown for his concert began in the early morning of that Friday, as fans began to line up in hopes for frontline seats. The doors of the stadium opened up around 4:00 pm and fans raced to their spots. This concert had two opening acts: The chilean singer Benjamín Walker, and a german band called “Giant Rooks.” Benjamín Walker began at 6:00 pm and “Giant Rooks” setlist started at 7:30 pm. The atmosphere was full of joy and adrenaline, although in some parts too crowded, and fans were fainting left and right.

Louis Tomlinson came out at around 9:00 pm and all you could hear were screams. He played 12 of his top hits, with iconic moments such as the lyric change in “Chicago” to Santiago, and his awe for the fan projects in his songs “Kill My Mind” and “Saturdays.” Louis’ performance was top tier, you could see everyone having the time of their lives. The only weakness of this concert was the production team. At times the situations got out of hands, and many fans were put at risk.

Overall, the event was amazing. Louis sang his heart out to his dedicated and loving fans, on a beautiful and thrilling night. This concert is definitely in my top three favorite concert experiences. I would 100% recommend that if you get the chance to attend a Louis Tomlinson concert, please do. You will treasure the memories forever.

Writing an Essay: Renewable Energy for Aurora Island

There has been recent discussions on the best alternative of a renewable energy source for the tourist island, Aurora. While there have been strong alternatives mentioned, such as wind turbines and solar panels, the question is which renewable energy source would be the best for the island of Aurora.

The first renewable energy source that has been suggested are wind turbines. Recent studies have shown that wind turbines are the most reliable and eco-friendly energy source out there. Additionally, on land marks close to the ocean, wind turbines will always have means to generate energy. Some may argue that wind turbines would destroy the landscape of the island, however, if implemented responsibly and well thought-out, this would never be the case.

The second energy source that has been put forward are solar panels. This renewable energy source has also been proven to be eficient. However, in order to be able to use sun rays as an energy sources, the island would have to buy and install a significant amount of solar panels. This would not be cost efficient, especially on Aurora Island since it does not have year-round sunshine.

Taking everything into consideration, the best renewable energy source for the tourist island Aurora would be wind turbines. Despite being large structures, of which several must be built for it to work, it is the most reliable renewable energy source. Furthermore, wind turbines are the most appropriate for the island, because due to the sea, there is always wind to take advantage of, and ultimately use as energy.

Writing a Proposal: Overcomming Oral Presentations

Introduction

The aim of this proposal is to outline the current struggles students have when facing oral presentations, based on a recently implemented survey, and give suggestions on how they can overcome those struggles.

Student Struggles

Based on the analysis of the recent survey, the main struggles students face during oral presentations are:

  • Problems finding credible sources when preparing the presentation.
  • Difficulties organizing the content of the presentation in the time given for it.
  • Nervousness and anxiety to speak in front of their classmates, out of fear of making a mistake or judgment.

These three main points are the main factors holding students back from achieving their full potential during oral presentation.

Suggestions

In order to improve the previously mentioned difficulties, the following could be suggested. Firstly, ask your teachers for the best and most credible sources for the task. Secondly, make visual representations of the time organization of your presentation. Additionaly, practice saying your presentation with a timer to better assess your performances. Finally, to combate anxiety, yo can imagine yo are alone while presenting, or talk with your teacher before hand to ensure respect is instilled in the class.

Conclusion

All in all, oral presentations can be intimidating, but if they follow the recommendations, students can surely overcome them and improve.

Writing a Report: Language-Learning Experience

Introduction

The main objective of this report is to provide insight on the experience of language learning. For this, I will discuss my own experience, the languages I know and how I learned them, my strengths and weaknesses, and how I intend to keep up my languages in the future. The final paragraph will contain recommendations on how to improve your language learning experience.

Experience So Far

My language learning experience has been rich and varied. I have been able to learn by being surrounded by native speakers and in classrooms. I have been fortunate to be able to use different languages in their respective native countries, which has facilitated my learning process in the classroom. Moreover, I keep my learning alive by consuming content in different languages.

Languages I Know & How I Learned Them

I have learned three languages through different methods:

  • Spanish is my mother tongue, but after growing up in the U.S., I had to reinforce the language in school, and by being forced to communicate.
  • English is my second language. My family moved to the U.S. when I was one, and we stayed there for nine years. I learned English by communicating and with the help of teachers. Now-a-days, I am studying English in EFL classrooms at my university.
  • Italian is a language I am still learning. I take online courses, and use the app “Duolingo” to practice daily.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Personally, I have two main strengths and weaknesses in language learning. Firstly, my strengths are my adaptability and consistency. These two factors have been crucial in my learning experience. Secondly, I feel my main weaknesses have been my spelling and pronunciation skills. These factors have always been a struggle and have hindered my language learning.

Expectations for the Future

I intend to keep up my languages and learn more in the future. On one hand, I will maintain my languages through:

  • Practice
  • Use
  • And, content in different languages.

On the other hand, I wish to keep learning new languages such as Creol or German. I am passionate about language learning.

Recommendations

There are many recommendations you can follow to improve your language learning experience. Firstly, it is crucial to practice daily. If you go without practice for long you can risk loosing your progress. Secondly, use the language. Even if you do not trust your pronunciation or grammar, using it is the quickest way to improve. Finally, try to consume content in the language that you are learning, this is the best way to immerse yourself in the target language.
